At the beginning of 2021 Anomaly welcomed a big client with big plans for its South African market. Transsion Holdings is a powerhouse of mobile phone manufacturing based in Shenzhen China, that is now the fourth-largest mobile phone-maker in the world.
After tremendous success in Africa with premium feature phones for accessible prices, Transsion has launched its smartphone brands in South Africa. Anomaly has had the opportunity of introducing TECNO, Infinix and itel to their South African audiences. On a monthly basis, we strategise, create and manage the always-on South African social media content for Transsion’s smartphone brands; TECNO, Infinix and itel.
Transsion is a different kind of client, in the way that three brands fall under its one umbrella. Each of these brands offers a distinctive device range for a distinctive target market and therefore requires its own strategy, tone, look and feel.
Transsion has found its success by speaking directly to the needs of its consumers, and Anomaly has followed this example when building its South African communications. Over the course of this year, we have developed individualistic messaging for each brand to promote each of their products and establish each of their identities here in SA.
TECNO offers premium smartphones to an upwardly mobile, technology-savvy inspired target market. A crowd of go-getters who expect more from their devices, and get it with TECNO.
Itel offers simple, reliable smartphones to a family orientated, aspirational audience. Those who are looking for an upgrade, but don’t necessarily require a device with deluxe features.
Infinix offers cutting-edge, fashionable smartphones to a future-focused crowd. Young creatives use their devices to not only connect to their world but make art. The Infinix range will launch in South Africa in 2022.
